Tip No. 5 Hands Lead

This fifth tip for slow pitch softball hitting also has to do with your hands. As you swing your bat, your hands should be leading through the swing with the barrel of the bat slightly trailing into the swing.

This will help create a natural whipping motion with the bat right at the point the barrel of the bat connects with the softball. Your body should naturally rotate the bat at the right moment to help create the whipping motion and get you a boost in bat speed at the point of contact with the softball.
